A delegation- representing the Trades Hall and Labour Council Disputes Committee, also all the Federal unions, interviewed the executive of the Australian Council of Trades Unions to-day, when it 'was decided to convene a conference of all State and Federal unions at Sydney on February 16 to discuss the present “national emergency.”

It is believed that the main item for the conference’s deliberation will be the Labour Council’s general strike proposal arising: from the reduction by 10 per cent, of wages under all Federal awards.
