MOTOR VEHICLES COLLIDE.

CRASH IN AUCKLAND. STREET.

By Telegraph.—Press Association.

Auckland, Jan. 14. Four people, including a child of two, were injured when a motor-van out of control crashed into a stationary, motortruck in Newton Road this morning. The front wheel of the van hit the kerb and swung the vehicle round. It crashed into the truck, cannoned off and then clashed into the car. The windscreen was splintered. One woman was shot through the jagged glass on to the road and her baby was flung out of the car. The driver and another woman were found semi-conscious in the van. The two women were admitted to the hospital, but the driver and child were able to leave after treatment. The injured are Mrs. Ida May Edwards, aged 42, and Mrs. Florence May Sutherland, aged 23. The other names are not yet available.
