BRITAIN TESTING FOUR TYPES.

Rec. 5.5 p.m. Rugby, Jan. 18. The Air Ministry is organising an SOOO-mile return flight from Britain to Basra in order to decide the most suitable type of flying-boat for the reequipment of the Persian Gulf squadron. Four large /all-metal flying-boats have been built to participate in the contest, a Blackburn Rolls-Royce monoplane, a Super-marine Armstrong-Siddeley, a Warojek-Jupiter and a 'Short RollsRoyce -biplane. The machines will cross the Iraq desert and undergo a series of tests at Basra.
