The New South Wales Premier, Mr. J. T. Lang, to-day took a drastic step to override the Railway Commissioners, who recently refused to relieve Mr. Goode, an expert officer whom Mr. Lang desired to help him evolve a Ministry of Transport. Mr. Lang issued a proclamation under which he obtained political control of the railways and by which he will be able to ration the services of the three railway commissioners for a set period as he desires.
