(From Our Own Correspondent.) A boy aged 6ix years, Nelson Day, Wellington, had his thigh broken on Sunday. He was with his uncle, Mr. O. Northcott, Opunake, in a dray on the Opua Road when the vehicle capsized. Dr. Watt attended the boy and ordered his removal to the New Plymouth hospital. . XV Mr. A. E. Macks was taken to the New Plymouth hospital by the ambulance on Sunday. The New Plymouth Salvation Army Band visited Opunake Bay on Sunday and gratified a large attendance with musical selections. The Federal Band visited a number of places and played

carols. , The Opunake Seaside Society has accepted Mr.'.A. E. Mack’s tender for the lease of the beach pavilion.
