A London cable message states that the Prince of Wales, who is suffering from influenza, continues to make satisfactory progress. I f Mr. J. Lyons, M.R.C.V.S., director of the Live -Stock Division, Department of Agriculture, has been visiting Taranaki on departmental business. He leqves for .Waikato and Auckland this morning. Mr. M. L. Gavey, for many years in business in New Plymouth, died at Auckland yesterday/ Mr. Gavey is survived by Mrs. Gavey but there is no family. He left New Plymouth about a year agoThe death of Sir Harry Perry Robinsori,' author v and -journalist, for many years on the staff of The Times, is reported by cable from London. Sir who had’ been- a correspondent in many parts of the world was 71- years of age; Mr. T. C. List, who was a delegate to the Empire Press Conference, will arrive at Auckland Rangitiki to-morrow and expects to be at New Plymouth by the end of the present week.
