An enjoyable euchre party and dance was held by the Young People’s Social Club on Friday. Good dance music was provided by Messrs S. Gough and ' L. Davison, and extras were played by Mr. R. Joyes. ' The floor was in perfect order and Mr. W. Opai was master of ceremonies. Two Monte Carlo waltzes were included in the programme, the lucky couples being Mrs. G. Hall and Mr. H. Schwieters and Mr. and Mrs. Sunde. The winners of the euchre tournament were Mrs. G. Bryant and Mr. Miles, the booby prizes going to Mrs. Sunde and Mr. T. McCullock. A dainty supper was served by the committee ladies. Mr. ‘W. Opai made a neat speech referring to the good work and support to the club of Mr. W. Webber.' Mr. ' Webber was . asked to accept a wallet 1 of notes to mark the appreciation of '■ the members of the club. Musical honours were accorded. Mr. Webber eXj pressed his sincere thanks and wished ' the club’ every success in the future.
