The evidence showed that deceased, a returned soldier of Ruatoria, had been suffering from shellshock. Ten weeks ago he was married, and after returning from the honeymoon had lived for just over a fortnight in a new bungalow he had built on his property, when husband and wife woke, up one night to find the place in flames. Building, furniture and wedding presents were all destroyed. This, combined witli shellshock, resulted in a depressed state of mind.
