Tolmie, has announced that American financial interests headed by Mr. Samuel Hill, pioneer north-west road builder, have offered to construct a highway from the United States boundary through British Columbia to Alaska at a cost of £4,000,000 in return for hotel concessions along the route and a percentage of the gasoline tax paid on the highway. After the cost of construction has been returned to the builders the road will be given to the province without any cost. The distance will be several hundred miles. ,
