FRUSTRATION BY GOVERNMENT. TWENTY-TWO OFFICERS ARRESTED By Telegraph—Press Assn. —Copyright. Athens,. Oct. 30. The Government frustrated a military coup d’etat to re-establish the dictatorship of Pangalos. A few hours before the coup was timed troops surrounded a house in the suburbs where 150 officers were making final arrangements. Most managed to escape, but 22 were arrested. Pangalosi was in a house nearby, but whether Jie will be arrested will be decided shortly. Meanwhile the 22 officers arrest-1 will be court-martialled for treason.
A later message sdys General Pangalos has been arrested.
