The trial of Madame Hanau and four associates on charges of fraud in connection with the Gazette du Franc has begun. Two lawyers representing 3000 creditors to-day. argued a claim for the re-cr-mination of the accounts, Mme. Hanau’s case being that there is no deficit and if there is any it arose out of the action of the police.
