STATE CLOTHES MENDING
; ORDERS OF RUSSIAN COUNCIL. NEW INDUSTRY ESTABLISHED. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Ree. 5.5 p.m. London, Sept? 27. The Soviet has ordered the Supreme Economic Council to organise a new State industry for mending and remaking old clothes, plans to be completed within ten days for the establishment of State mending centres in all the big towns, states the Riga correspondent of the Times. It is hoped thus to alleviate the textile crisis and overcome the present inability of the majority of the people to obtain new garments.
