ART UNION ORGANISER DEAD
W. J. POTTER AT NEW PLYMOUTH. WELL-KNOWN AUCKLAND FAMILY. Mr. W. J. Potter, Auckland, organiser of the Rugby art union, died suddenly at New Plymouth last night. Mr. Potter had completed arrangements for the drawing of the art union despite delay caused by ’ the railway smash at Mangaweka but/he had a heart attack following the busy day and diqd at about 10.45 p.m. Mr. Potter was one of a well-known Auckland family. His .brother, Mr. V. H, Potter, was formerly member of Parliament for Roskill. Mr. W. J. Potter was a business man and traveller and lately had been organising art unions and (jping similar work practically as a hobby. He leaves a wife and a married daughter. l|is age was about 65 years.
