CUSTOMS DUTY COLLECTION
INCREASES AT WELLWGTONI, By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Custom duty collected at the port of Wellington during the present month was over £10,500 in excess of the total 1 for August, 1929. All round increases were also recorded in respect of' beer duty, tyre tax and petrol tax. The detailed figures are: —Customs duty, £247,834; beer duty, £3BOL; tyre' tax, £3016; petroL tax, £33,001.
