THE MASSEY MEMORIAL

CEREMONY ON SEPTEMBER 10. The unveiling of the Massey Memorial at Point Halswell, Wellington, will take place on September 19. At a meeting of the .Massey Memorial Reserve Board this week, the supervising architect, Mr. 8. Hurst geager, notified that he had given his certificate of completion of the memorial to the contractors.

The Prime Minister, the Hon. G. W. Forbes, regretted that it had not been found possible to arrange for the unveiling ceremony prior to his departure for the Imperial Conference, and he expressed a desire that the ceremony should take place during the present session, of Parliament, to enable members of both Houses of Parliament to pay homage to a distinguished statesman.

The board approved of the ceremony taking place during the afternoon of Friday, September 19, The board will again meet at an early date to consider details of the ceremony.
