KAIMATA NEWS

The Kaimata bachelors held a euchre party and dance in the hall on Tuesday night, but as the expected orchestra did not appear the dance was not as successful as it might have been. The euchre prizes were won by Mrs. T. Knofflock 1, Miss M. Moratti 2, Mrs. T. Clark 3, Miss E. Klenner consolation; Mr. ,R. Adlam 1, Mr. G. Salisbury 2, Mr. J. Moratti 3, Mr. Potroz consolation.

The inspector has been visiting Kaimata lately making a special inspection of the young calves before they leave for the works.

A meeting of the committee oi the ladies’ rest room was held at Inglewood on Wednesday afternoon. ’ Present were Alesdames J. Winfield (Inglewood), president, R. Stuart (Dudley Road), T. Knofflock and J. Klenner- (Kaimata), S. Martin, and Willings (Ratapiko), E. Bishell (Tarata) and J. Young (Lincoln Road). As funds were becoming low the Kaimata members of the committee have decided to organise a euchre party and dance. Mrs. Norman Blackburn has returned home. Miss Freda McNeil, of the Auckland Girls’ Training College, is home on her vacation. Mr. AL Doyle, late of Kaimata. is spending a few days as the guest of Mr. W. Herlihy.
