Arising from the Ilatry frauds the Stock Exchange committee ha<s adopted new regulations for'safeguarding investors. These were recommended by a sub-committee after hearing evidence from bankers, lawyers and accountants. They will bring the transfer of shares more closely under Stock Exchange control. To protect municipal issues they will insist on full details in connection with the flotation of companies.
