CHARGE AGAINST BANKRUPT

CONTRACTOR SENT FOR TRIAL. : By Telegraph.—Press Association. Christchurch, August 13. On four charges of breaches of the Bankruptcy Act the official assignee to-day proceeded against Allan Howard, bankrupt, of Chaneys, a contractor. Accused pleaded not guilty to all the charges and was committed to the Supreme Court for trial. The assignee said that Howard’s business was on a large scale and he had failed to keep proper books or make fully known all his property.
