UNREGISTERED PLUMBER
WARNING FINE INFLICTED. "This case is brought as a warning,”said Chief Inspector Day in the New Plymouth Police Court yesterday when Harold Lester admitted that on or about July 10 he did sanitary plumbing though he was not a registered plumber. Lester was a handy-man but by no means a registered p li-n-n’ ’ the inspector. He had frankly admitted no had done some work to the pipes about a hand-basin without being aware that he was .breaking the law. “We want these men to understand that they cannot -do sanitary plumbing,” observed Mr. Day. Mr. A. B. Bennett said he, had been carefully through the Act with Lester, who now understood what he could and could not do. In inflating a fine of ICs with 10s costs, Mr., late said be was treating the matter in the light of a warnin'*. If it were not successful tho penalties would be made heavier
