The position revealed by the balance sheet was very gratifying, and he hoped that at an early date the balance ow ing, £57 -2s 6d, would he wiped out. He deeply regretted the loss of two good ■friends of the hall,. the late Mr. Dan Brophy, and Mr. R. C. Larsen, a loyal worker who had left the district. He thanked the members of the committee for ’ the harmonious relations which had existed during the year. There was a lengthy discussion as to the advisability of incorporation in prefefenee\'''ip<sthe appointment of new trustees. Mr., L, D. Hickford remarked that if the'attendance of the public was indicative of the interest in the hall’s welfare, if .was preferable to have a few reliable trustees than to. have' a number df -disinterested members of an incorporated society. It was resolved to proceed with the appointment of trustees. t . The following committe was elected: Messrs. C, G. Cockscdge, L.- Carey, Ned Corbett, A. J. Smith, Des O’Sullivan, C. Maxwell, L. The secretary (Mr. Hickford) and the caretaker (Mr. Corbett) were also assured of the appreciation of, those present. x n n At a subsequent meeting Mr. C. C. Eustace was reappointed chairman, Mr. L. D. Hickford secretary, and Mr. C. Maxwell caretaker. In the report of the Methodist bazaar, the names of Mesdames L. B. .Hall. H. T. Paul and C. Maxwell and Miss Paul, wnj were \n charge of the cake stall, were inadvertently omitted.
