NUMEROUS DEATHS CAUSED. TEMPERATURE OF 130 DEGREES By Telegraph—Press Assn. —Copyright. Basra, August 10. Mesopotamia is far out-doing the American heat* wave. At present it is the hottest place on. earth. The shade temperature at Basra reaches 130 degrees daily. Two members of the Royal Air Force and a number of other Europeans have died at Bagdad, and elsewhere there are numerous cases of heat stroke. Even Arab coolies and the Bedouins are dropping dead.
