NOTED FLIERS TO COMPETE
AIR. RACE PAGEANT AT CHICAGO. ATCHERLEY REPRESENTS BRITAIN British Official Wireless. Rec. 5.5 p.m. Rugby, Aug. 10. Flight-Lieutenant Atcherley, British Schneider trophy pilot, will represent Britain in the international air race at Chicago on August 25. He has been invited to visit the United States by Lieutenant 'Williams, American Schneider trophy pilot, who has been in Europe during the past two weeks conveying invitations to representative pilots from Great Britain, France, Italy and Germany. Flight-Lieutenant Atcherley with the German pilot, Captain Losche, left Southampton to-day, taking with him his own machine. He has been granted special leave by the Air Ministry. After an official reception in New York the pilots will fly in international formation to Chicago, Flight-Lieutenant Atcherley leading.
