OPEN VERDICT AT INQUEST
NO EVIDENCE OF INTENTION. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Hamilton, Last Night. An open verdict was returned at the inquest this afternoon into the circumstances surrounding the death of Daniel McKeown, farmer, Ngaruawahia, who was found dead with a shotgun beside him on his farm this morning. Elizabeth McVeigh, employed at McKeown’s house, said deceased left home at 6.30 this morning and said he was going to attend to a sick cow. The coroner said there was no evidence to show that deceased had intentionally taken his life..
