LINE FUSES IN TUNNEL
WELLINGTON TRAFFIC DELAYED. By Telegraph,—Press Association. Wellington, Aug. 11. The 500-volt line running through the Mount Victoria tramway tunnel fused this morning, filling the tunnel with smoke and stopping tram traffic for 50 minutes. People were brought into the city by extra buses running on routes over the hill and coping with the traffic with some difficulty.
