THEFT FROM SHIP’S HOLD
DISCOVERY AT PORT CHALMEPvS. By Telejjraph.—Press Association. Dunedin, Aug. 5. A big theft of ladies’ silk underclothing and other goods from the hold of an overseas steamer after arrival at Pori Chalmers a few days ago has been discovered. The goods, which consisted of 614 articles, had beeii removed _at night and stowed in unoccupied cabins. Several pairs of boots were included. Evidently the articles were to be taken ashore as opportunity offered.
