SPORTING.
TARANAKI DISTRICT COMMITTEE The District Committee met at New Plymouth last night and appointed Mr. L. A. Nolan representative on the dates committee of the conference and Mr.. J. Gray representative on- the licensing committee. The meeting expressed its sympathy with tho relatives of Mrs. W. Kerr, who died last week. Messrs Nolan (chairman), W. P. Nicol!, S. C. Tonks, Gray, D. J. Malone, S. Pitt, G. Fraser and A. Good attended the meeting.
