Prisoners sentenced, in the Supreme Court by Mr. Justice Smith were: George McKenna, for demanding money by menaces and for theft and assault, three years’ hard labour; -oseph Baxter, aged 55, for indecent assault on a male, three months’ imprisonment; Rangi Harawana, for robbery with violence, five years’ hard labour; William Thomajs, for a similar offence, four years’ hard labour; Thomas James Gibson,, aged 19, for theft of horses, two years’ Borstal; Albert Joseph Vance Ryan, for stealing and uttering a cheque, two years’ imprisonment.
