STUDENTS AT ST. HELENS
WOMEN FAVOUR ADMISSION. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, July 31. The necessity for the fullest obstetrical training arid experience for young medical students was emphasised by a representative depiltation from womens organisations, which waited on Messis G. W. Forbes and A. J.' Stallworthy to-day. It was also pointed out that the only institutions at which adequate training could be gained were the St. Helen s Homes and that the protest against the admission of medical students into them was not only unfounded _ but against the interests of the Dominion. "Mr. Stallworthy said he recognised that the fullest opportunities should be given all students. . . Mr. Forbes said he wished to be satisfied that the admission of medical students was allowed only at the consent of the mothers concerned. If this consent was given without pressure he could not see any objection to the admission of students.
