POWER BOARD SECRETARIES
CONTROL OF SUPPLY DISCUSSED.
By Telegraph.—Press Association.
Wellington, July 15.
The annual conference of power board secretaries and executive officers was opened to-day by Mr. J. A. Nash, M.P. The president of the Boards and Authorities Association, Mr. George Brown (Wairarapa) dealt with power board trading and mistaken criticism and the place of power in the life of the community. They could, he said, look forward to the future with confidence.
Mr. Rodgers, chairman of the Southland Board, thought that they would agree with him that the best interests of the Dominion would be served when a Government electrical commission or authority controlled all generation in the Dominion and the boards were the sole distributing authorities.
