COURT AWARDS £l7OO DAMAGES. AUCKLAND BROKER’S CLAIM. By Telegraph.—-Press Association. Auckland, June 19. Compensation of £l7OO was awarded to James Donald, a woolbroker of Auckland, by the Compensation Court in a claim for £3820 against the Public Works. Department for depreciation in value of a. property of 50 acres at Panmure due to the construction of high tension power lines. The Crown was also found liable for the cost of. fencing in future and the provision of a crossing over the power line route for vehicles and stock.
