J. Hurle, New Plymouth, secured the North it’.and championship for African Owls, as well as the McQuarrie Memorial Challenge Shield for the best exhibition of standard pigeons in the show at Palmerston North with his African Owl cock. The same bird also secured two cash specials. W, Olson .(Stratford) secured specials for Black Minorca Cockerel, and best utility Minorca cock. • - - A. J. Davey (Stratford) won a special for best Sussex, male or female. • • H. R. Kirkwood- (Stratford) won twospecials for bantams. J. K. Hawkins (New Plymouth) won a special in fancy Minorcas. W.
