The Prime Minister made available to-day for publication interesting figures showing the result of the operations of the Public Trust Office for the year ended March 31, 1930. In doin<r so Mr. Forbes made r reference to t?ie forecast contained, in the statement issued by his predecessor in office in July, 1929, to the effect that the value of the business obtained,by this office during the year 1928-30 might possibly reach a sum of £8,000,000. He added that this forecast had been-more than justified. ' The new business for the year under review reached the unprecedented total of £8,573,916, as compared with the total new business of £7,091,350 for the preceding year, which itself constituted a record.
