ASSAULTED HIS WIFE
DUNEDIN MAN IMPRISONED. By. Telegraph.--Press Association. Dunedin, June 12. Hendry Mearqs, charged with, as-saulting-his wife, was, sentenced to a month’s imprisonment. Complainant stated that her husband picked up a table knife and threw it at her, cut-, ting her head and thumb. The police stated that accused, .on being arrested, became violent and kicked a constable in the stomach and legs. He was under the influence of liquor.
