THRILLING CHASE AFTER CAR
, ALLEGED THEFT IN AUCKLAND. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, June 5. There was a thrilling chase in Mt. Albert yesterday afternoon, when, .a young mechanic was caught by two civilians in a missing car and handed to the police. - - . A motor-cyclist noticed a ear performing unusual evolutions at an intersection and then being driven off at R terrific speed. With a companion in the side-car, he pursued it,' eventually forcing the car into the kerbing. He removed the driver and took him to the police station. To-day Leonard Alfred Martin, aged 22, was remanded for medical observation on three 1 ' charges relating to the car.
