A WHANGAMOMONA MEETING.

(To the Editor.) Sir;—ln to-day’a issue under the heading “Householders’ Meetings-," it is reported that the meeting in connection with the Whangamomona school was of a lively nature. This naturally causes the public to pursue the matter in other than its true sense, and it is rather a pity that the matter has been reported in that way. There was nothing in the way of hot words or bickerings which usually is characterised as lively at a meeting. The meeting was a pleasant and quietly conducted affair, and in fairness to the householders present I am appealing to you to have the matter correctly reported. Apparently your representative thinks that a wellfilled meeting with hot other than three or four questions asked is a lively affair.—l am, etc., , R. J. WHITING, . Chairman Householders’. Meeting. W T hanganiomona, May 8, 1930.
