QUELLING UNEMPLOYMENT
COUNCIL FORMED AT SYDNEY.

Stevens, informed the Legislative Assembly when it res’ dtc y that it was intended to establish a council which would control an unemployment relief fund to which all taxpayers would contribute. This council also would take steps to find work for unemployed and in every way interest itself in their welfare.
