CC’ML’IJ'TiON OF FIRST ROUND. The first round of tho Mae Diarmid Cup competition was played by the New Plymouth Ladies’ Golf Club in perfect weather yesterday. The second round is to bo played by Monday. . Results of the first round are: —• Miss Christoffel defeated Mrs. Wade G and 4. Mrs. W. C. Western defeated Mrs. Mander 2 up. Miss Blundell defeated Mrs. Nicholson 3 and 1, Miss Horner defeated Mrs. Stainton 5 and 3. > Mrs. Hill defeated Miss Leatham 3 and 2. Mrs. Mae Diarmid defeated Mrs. Rankin 4 and 2. Mrs. .Scanlan defeated Mrs., Rea 3 and Miss Webb defeated Mrs. Brewster 1 up. Mrs. Curtis defeated Mrs. Anderson 5 and 3. Miss Morton defeated Mrs. Quilliam G and 4. Mrs. Russell defeated Miss Smart 5 and 4. Miss Shaw defeated Miss M. Morton 1 up.
