Very keen interest .is being taken by players and the public in the finst of the elimination matches which is being held to ensure that the best fifteen” is chosen to represent Taranaki against the British team. The North v. South match, which is to be played at Inglewood to-morrow, therefore promises Ito provide a great struggle, not-so much beeaime of any divisional .-rivalry but because each player will be keen to gain rind ' hold 'li is place. Willi riyal candidates for each position every man will need to be at 'his best; as the selector, Mr. W. A; Guy; will be casting his critical eye over them' to select the Possibles v. Probables for the final trial next week. Th© candidates as selected by the divisional selectors have been generally approved by critics, and it is °eonceded that there is materia] available for a good provincial fifteen.
