FORMAL CLOSING OF SEASON. . The closing of the bowling green for the season was held on Saturday afternoon. The Kaponga Ladies Croquet Clu'b members and bowlers from Eltham were guests of the clu'b for the afternoon. Mixed ladies’ and men’s teams played during the afternoon, and trophies for the two ladies in the rink scoring the highest points were won by Mrs. J. A. Dawson and Mrs. J. W. H. Gardner. Details are: —Mrs. Little, Mrs. Tait, B. Jackson, Astbury 17 lost to Mrs. R. E. Williams, Mrs. J. H. Tyack, H. Best, J. A. Dawsen 25. Mrs. J. Dawson, Mrs. J. W. H. Gardner, V. Tait, C. Harrison 33 beat Mrs. H. A. Gallagher, Mrs. A. Melville, A. V. Tait, J. H. Tyack 11. Mrs. R. G. Cook, Mrs. C. Thurston, E. H. Thomas, C. Thurston 14 lost to Mrs. G. Lewis, Mrs. F. Fallows, R. Law,. F. Fallows 27.
