Alan Campbell, 12st. 91b., Oamaru, beat Jim Broadfoot, list. 111 b., Auckland, in a 15-round boxing contest tonight for the New Zealand heavyweight title. The bout went the full distance but was not up to championship standard. Campbell easily outclassed the Aucklander, who weathered a heavystorm. Broadfoot Would have been knocked out time and again but Campbell had no knock-out punch.
