TARANAKI ALPINE CLUB

VARIED EASTER PROGRAMME. The second trip of the Taranaki Alpine Club will take place next Sunday and will be a tramp over the Kaitaki Ranges under the leadership of Mr. L. W. Lovell. The ground to be covered is of great interest both from a scenic and historic point of view. The old Koru Pa will be visited and this alone is well worth the trip. Uninhabited for the last century, it is still in an excellent state of preservation and the stone defences almost intact. The party will pass through the Taranaki Forest, and modern afforestation methods will be observed.

Included in a bulletin issued by the club is the .Easter programme. The four <Vys available will give members an excellent opportunity of becoming acquainted with most of the trips from the old mountain house, including at least one ascent of Egmont itself.
