POWER ALCOHOL INDUSTRY
DEVELOPMENT IN QUEENSLAND. By Telegraph—Press Assn.— Copyright; Sydney, Feb. 3. The Federal Acting-Minister of Customs, Mr. P. M. Forde, says big developments in the production of power alcohol from molasses are pending in Queensland. It ia estimated that the first factory at Sarina, which will soon be ready for operations, will produce eufficient spirits for the whole of the Queensland requirements, roughly something over 8,060,000 gallons yearly. Negotiation's are proceeding to purchase the total output of molasses; which previously was thrown away.
