CANADIAN BOWLERS’ TOUR
DEFEAT IN SOUTH CANTERBURY. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Timaru, Last Night. The touring Canadian bowlers arrived in South Canterbury to-day for a twoday stay. The visitors were formally welcomed by the president of the local centre and later were accorded a civic reception which was largely attended. A six-rink match was played this afternoon, South Canterbury winning by 138 points to 92. The visitors are to be taken for an extensive tour of the district to-morrow and will leave for Dunedin on Saturday.
