RAIN CAUSES FARM LOSSES
WET MONTH IN CANTERBURY, By Telegraph.—Press Association. Christchurch, Jan. 20. Yesterday rain fell in the city and many parts of the province, and again held up farm operations. Farmers are complaining that, in addition to the damage to crops, the rank feed brought'on by the excessive rain of the past few weeks is unsuitable for fattening lambs. January will go on record as one of the wettest months ever ei perienced in the province,.
