ENGINEERS COMMENCE WORK. By Tolcfirn.ph—Press Assn.—CepyrlcMGibraltar, Dee. 27. Colonel Jcvcnois, author of tho scheme for a tunnel connecting Europe and Africa, has arrived at Turifa accompanied by engineers. Ho passed the plans for work beginning in January at Alcazar Scqulr in Spanish .Morocco, opposite Tarifa. Tho Spanish Government has approved grants to defray soundings and shaft sinking.
