LINDRUM’S NEW RECORDS

TWO BIG BREAKS IN SESSION.

SMITH ALSO SCORING WELL.

By Telegraph —Press Assn.—Copyright. London, December 26.

New world’s records were created on Christmas Day by Lindrum, who made two breaks of over 1000 in consecutive innings in the afternoon. One break was completed from overnight, an unfinished 900.

Lindrum is the first player to accomplish the feat in a single session. Smith compiled 1038 in the evening, creating another record, in that it is the first occasion on which two opposing players have made three breaks of over 1000 in a single day. To-day’s play brought Lindrum’s total to 9546, including breaks of 850, 733 and 199. Smith reached 6329, making breaks of 333 and 334.
