RAILWAY SAFE DYNAMITED

HASTINGS STATION BURGLARY. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Hastings, Doc. 24. About 1.15 this morning the Hastings railway station was broken into and the door of a safe in the booking office was blown open with gelignite. The enterprise of the burglars was not rewarded, as yesterday’s takings, a considerable sum, were banked yesterday afternoon, all but a few shillings and some odd coppers. A passer-by, hearing the explosion, informed the police and a constable was quickly on the spot and arrested a loiterer with suspicous articles in his possession and detained him. Evidently two men were concerned in Dia outrage.
