WAS PEASANT PROPRIETOR'S SON. The son of a peasant proprietor wliQ s became President of the French Republic has died, reports the Press Association from Paris. He wasEmile Loubet, who would have eelebratt ed his 91st birthday to-morrow week, i AL Loubet studied law and gained thtf degree, of doctor. He entered politics when he was elected at the age of 38 aS deputy for Montelimar. Twenty-two years later he was Precident of the Republic, a post lie held for seven years, He retired in 1906.
