including breaks of 391 and 630, against W. Newman, who, in play, has reached 17,342, including breaks of 636 and 306 ■ unfinished. McConachy regained the lead in the afternoon, totalling 1406 for the session, while Newman compiled only 232. Newman’s fine 636 in the evening, however, helped to give him a small lead at the end of , play.
