A fairy fantasie would fitly describe the evening’s entertainment given by the pupils of Alias Audrey Hughes-John-stone and Aliss Alaisie Instone at the Opera House. The - costuming was superb and the original ideas and settings very beautiful, and although in some of the chorus work there showed a little lack of training, the children never failed to please with the charm, grace and confidence of their youth, one of the genie of the evening being the performance of the tiny sprite, Junne Goodwin, in the balloon dance, which was a real delight and in which this little tot displayed beautiful charm and grace in every movement, showing a real gift for the terpsichorean art. But then, as each dainty little fairy flitted across the footlights, one experienced fresh delights. They were wonderful, and most pleasurable of all was the noticeable fact that the participants enjoyed themselves as nibch as the audience. The mothers of the children are certainly to be congratulated, as well as the inetructore, Aliss Instone and Miss Hughes-Johnstone, as they certainly were the force behind the guns in as much as the frocking was concerned, which, owing to their splendid cooperation, was one of the outstanding features in the entertainment.
